About

The Pine Cone Foundation (PCF) is a 501c3 organization that cultivates a better food future by supporting farming, ranching, fishing, aquaculture, and foodways in California.

PCF is a private family foundation aiming to positively impact the security of our food supply chain in the face of climate change and discrimination to support future generations of stewards in our golden state.

We have established two endowments and offer an annual Micro-Grant Program to farmers, ranchers and fisheries, as well as aquaculture purveyors.

In 2022, we launched our annual Micro-Grant Program to farmers, ranchers, and fisheries, as well as aquaculture purveyors, and we’ve distributed 17 grants as of 2024, which translates to more than $50k in contributed funds over three years. Looking forward to launching the fourth annual grant application in September of 2025.

PCF was founded in 2015 to honor a beloved family member who passed away and loved nature, animals, and waterways, but above all, quality time outdoors and a great meal with loved ones.
